I am the definition of rookie ! But I'm not afraid to try a new hobby. I have only sent it down 2 trails and one of them I hip check the ground on drop but that's not going to stop me.
I used to ride a lot of dirt when I was a kid . We built jumps and tracks on dirt lots and levies. And getting back into riding at 33 makes me feel like a kid again.
